Heritage Animal Hospital LTD.

Understanding the bond between families & their pets (as copied from the Hortonville Progress 99)

Heritage Animal Hospital, LTD. Has been bringing quality care to the Greater Hortonville Area for over 42 years.  With experience and compassion - they understand the bond that exists between families and their pets.

Whether your pet needs preventive medicine, daytime emergency care, surgery, or any number of outpatient services, Heritage Animal Hospital can provide the care and training your pet needs throughout it's life.

"We can't stop the aging process of course, but we can make them feel better," said Heritage owner, Dr. Dan Oberschlake. "We're learning and doing more to make the later years more comfortable for pets."

Recent years at Heritage have brought on many new technologies and techniques that can be used in the geriatric care of companion animals.

"Now days there's better care for pets, therefore pets are living longer," Dr. Oberschlake explained. "We are treating more arthritis, thyroid, and dental patients today than ever before," he said.

This past year doctors at Heritage Animal Hospital have received additional training and knowledge on improved orthopedic techniques.  Doctors have learned advanced techniques used in knee surgeries for cats and dogs.

Other new technologies being implemented at heritage include the Doppler Blood Pressure monitoring capabilities for animal with kidney disease.  Heart and kidney diseases are also problems associated with aging.

Heritage now has equipment for advanced glaucoma eye pressure screening which is more accurate than older techniques.  Today, the screening involves a hand held computerized piece of equipment that's better enabled heritage to treat their eye patients.  Heritage is always improving their techniques and their facility.

Heritage now has 22 dedicated employees, who are there to help families and their pets continue with a comfortable and healthy quality of life.  Dr. Oberschlake is very proud of the fact that eight of his employees have been with Heritage for over 10 years and 13 others have been with the hospital for over 4 years.

Heritage Animal Hospital LTD., has been experiencing over 42 years of managed growth.  The practice is an important part of the growing Hortonville community.

Expanded parking, facility upgrades and a newly finished nature viewing courtyard have marked yet another year of growth at heritage's Hortonville Clinic.

Pet owners are now able to relax in a beautiful back courtyard ripe with trees, shrubs and flowers.  A relaxing garden pond reflects the summer colors from it's mirror like surface.  It also reflects the commitment heritage has had to both their clients and staff over the years.

The courtyard is a memorial to Dr. Miller who passed away, leaving many fond memories with Heritage.

The community of Hortonville is important to Dr. Dan Oberschlake and his staff.  Every year Heritage sponsors youth teams in the Youth Sports program of the Hortonville area.  Dr. Dan Oberschlake believes in the program fully, and has even coached some of the teams.

Another exciting area for Heritage is on the world wide web.  You can connect with Heritage by way of their new web site - www.HeritageAnimal.com.

Folks from all over the area, and even some from far away have been getting on Heritage Animal Hospital's web site to read the popular "Pet of the Month Feature", which discusses new and interesting cases each month.

Respect and quality care are what you will find at either of the two Heritage Animal Hospital locations in the area, with the main base facility located in Hortonville, and another office in Greenville.

Heritage is a full service animal hospital with daytime emergency care facilities.  Clients appreciate having a fully staffed emergency facility in the area.  Heritage is also able to make referrals for additional animal medical and emergency support through the Fox Valley Emergency Animal Referral Center.
