Louie - Newspaper Article
ALTHOUGH STAFF AT HERITAGE ANIMAL HOSPITAL SWEAR THEY DID NOT STEAL LOUIE OFF THE BUD TRUCK, Louie isn't always sure this job of being the Heritage Mascot is better than the Bud commercials and zapping frogs.  Be careful around Louie, without frogs to zap, he's begun to go after humans.

You can catch Heritage Animal Hospital on the internet for more education about your pet and the staff at Heritage love it when a client says, "I found you on the web."

Many changes have taken place recently for Heritage Animal Hospital and their clients.

A new puppy socialization class has been well received and glaucoma screening for your pets is now available.

Dr. Dan Oberschlake said, "we are beginning to focus on geriatric medicine and surgery, providing a proper monitoring lab, and continuing education for staff are priorities for us."

There are new techniques for thyroid tumor surgeries for cats and more education for kidney diseased animals.

The Doctors of Veterinary Medicine at Heritage include, Dr. Oberschlake, owner, Dr. Krahn, Dr. Crispin, Dr. Boyette and Dr. Pauling.

These Doctors each have their own primary case load, yet they all consult with each other.  Dr. Oberschlake also said that with only 2 locations, "we are able to keep our rotation to a minimum for our clients."

It's nice to be able to see your own vet when you need to and even nicer when in a case of an emergency, a back up plan is available to meet customer needs 24 hours a day.

Heritage Animal Hospital is affiliated with the Fox Valley Animal Referral Center and that adds a new dimension to services that can be provided.

The Referral Center is fully staffed at night with Board Certified Veterinarians with different specialties.  They can provide for critical care, internal medicine and surgery on an emergency basis.

The dentistry practice has grown a lot with pets living a much longer life span.

Another focus with Heritage Animal Hospital is working with small animals and companion pets.  It helps to be able to specialize and gear education and equipment specifically for this group.

Improvements will continue with the lab and monitoring abilities and a recent purchase of a Dobler blood pressure monitoring unit helps the four certified Veterinary Technicians stay on top of primary care for small animals.

Heritage always keeps pet owners in mind.  A nature viewing area in the back of the building provides a serene environment for people waiting for their pets.  The courtyard is a haven for birds and butterflies with trees, flowers and shrubs.  A pond with running water and fish complete the nature viewing area.

Respect and quality care is what customers can expect at Heritage Animal Hospital.
